Before the Law Degree, There Were the Deals.
Before becoming an attorney, Joette spent five years with a national real estate investment education firm, working alongside investors on seller financing, subject-to acquisitions, lease options, novations, and the full range of creative deal structures.
She kept watching the same pattern repeat: great deals collapsing because nobody involved had the legal background to structure them correctly. So she went to law school and earned her J.D. from Western New England University School of Law in 2013.
Trinh Creative Capital is where those two worlds meet. When you work with Joette, you are not getting an attorney who had to look up subject-to before your call. You are getting someone who has seen every way these deals go wrong, and has the legal credentials to make yours go right. The deal closes. Whatever it takes.

"I've seen what happens when creative deals close without legal structure. That's why I went to law school — so I could make sure they don't."
— Joette L. Trinh, Esq.

The Difference Is the Perspective.
Investor's Lens
Joette serves real estate investors across the country as a creative finance consultant. Licensed in Connecticut and Massachusetts for legal work, she is available nationally for deal review, structure guidance, and strategy. She evaluates deals the way an investor thinks, then builds them the way an attorney knows they need to be structured.
Dual-State Coverage
Licensed in Connecticut and Massachusetts. Real estate investors who operate across the CT/MA border don't need to find a different attorney for each state. Joette knows the specific requirements, closing practices, and legal nuances in both jurisdictions — and brings that knowledge to every deal.
Attorney Precision
Creative finance is powerful because the structure is flexible. It's dangerous for the same reason. Joette brings attorney-level precision to every deal structure, every document, every term — so the flexibility works for you, not against you. The deal that closes cleanly and holds up is the deal built right from the start.
Joette is a national creative finance consultant and attorney, based in West Hartford. When she's not structuring deals, she's home with her three kids, cooking, traveling, and occasionally being asked by her family why she's so intense about closing procedures. I've lived in CT for over 13 years and am raising my family here.
She takes client work seriously. She does not take herself too seriously. The combination tends to work out well for everyone involved.
